1. The short version
Sled sets the minimum cookies needed to log you in and to attribute affiliate referrals. No advertising trackers, no analytics scripts, no cross-site cookies. We don’t need a cookie banner — but you deserve to know what’s actually set.
2. What we set on usesled.com
- ta_session — First-party HTTP-only session cookie. Opaque random token tied to your account. Set when you sign in, deleted when you sign out, 30-day expiry. Strictly necessary; the service doesn’t work without it.
That’s it for cookies set on the Sled marketing site and dashboard. No analytics, no “essential” partner cookies, nothing else.
3. Cookies set by your tenant’s tracking script
If you operate an affiliate program with Sled, the tracking script we provide sets one cookie on your own marketing site:
- ta_ref — First-party cookie on your domain (e.g.
yoursite.com), holding the referral code from?ref=…. Default 90-day expiry (configurable per tenant). Used to attribute a future purchase to the affiliate.
This cookie is set on your domain, not ours — Sled never sees it from a browser, only the referral code that you pass to your billing provider as metadata at checkout.
4. Third-party cookies
None on usesled.com. We do not embed advertising scripts, social media widgets, or third-party analytics. If you pay for a subscription, you’ll briefly visit Polar.sh during checkout; Polar sets its own cookies there under its own policy.
5. Disabling cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser. Without ta_session, you won’t be able to stay signed in. Without ta_ref on your customer site, referrals won’t be attributed.
